Oh I've been keeping busy.Too busy actually. haha
And it's quite true. The best way to learn a language is to surround yourself with it. That way, you HAVE to learn it to understand what's going on. I can understand Mandarin better than I did before but it'll be a while before I can speak it.
Hahaha, yes, it does seem that as we age,
life gets busier! I'm finding this out that hard way!
I've taken learning Faeroese quite seriously lately, and plan
to visit the Faeroe Islands next year the earliest so I can get
a better understanding of the language, culture, history, and people,
and of coarse to take in the unimaginable beauty the their land
possesses!
Is any body else familiar with the Faeroes?
About all I know about the Faroe islands is that they make a pretty knitted lace there.
I'm attempting to learn Japanese again, this time with assistance from a website for free language lessons. http://www.livemocha.com It's neat because I'm also helping others to learn, by providing tips and constructive criticism, as well as learning myself. The only thing I don't like is that there doesn't seem to be a romaji option, and they use kanji....I end up copypasting it into another site to see the romaji, since I don't read hiragana very well yet, and the only kanji I can recognize regularly is the one for chicken.

It's really an amazing place, I'd suggest checking out some
of the scenery pictures that people have uploaded on the internet.
That website is amazing!
I just signed up for it now, and it actually has Faeroese on it!
But it doesn't have Welsh on it =[ Oh well.

But still helpful none the less!

What i would like to learn........I would say by hart that it is Japanese, French ,Italian ,Korean and Taiwanese
i am almost correct with the pronunciations of Japanese and Taiwanese but the other three seem to be heavy for me i start lisping and then all goes to hell (i lisper in Hindi too) ...yup too many in one go , i even downloaded those online book with audio called "The Dummies Guide for learning Japanese , French, Italian , Korean and Taiwanese",.....
but so far i guess going to the schools is much much better ...what do you guys think huh?

I too download various language help programs and documents,
I have found they are helpful, but mostly for reading and spelling in that
particular language, the best way is to listen to a conversation or
somehting of the sort.
Yup thats true ...but ..ok i admit i am lazy( just a bit
but i got allot of practice in pronoun cations of words to carrying on slight conversations (not the tourist ones
)from the audio guides.

I don't know about programs, but that website I put in two posts up is a goldmine! Here, have a repost. It should help with the japanese, italian, and french...though I'd think the french wouldn't be a problem here...*pokes the french speakers here on the forums!* At the very least you can get native speakers to review your pronunciations, and help correct you.
